My Savior, Jesus
Who is Jesus that He should die for us, for me? Why should the Son of the Most Holy God want to suffer pain and ridicule for a sinner such as myself? What manner of love could be so great that He would delight in guiding my unworthy life? For I am unfit to partake of that Love, so freely given, that enables me to live with Him eternally in Heaven.
Dear, blessed Jesus! My truest Brother and Friend! I’d been lost in Sin and Shame, but Jesus ~~ the Perfect Man ~~ took that Shame upon Himself! To question why He did this is to simply reject the Gift of Eternal Life He purchased for us by His Blood; but to accept It is to receive an abundance of Peace and Joy!
All are sinners; all are worthy of death. But how would Christ be able to work His miracles thru dead people? We have the choice to live for Him or for ourselves ~~ I choose to live for my Saviour, Jesus!
As a true Brother, He offers me His strong Hand when I stumble! When I need assurance, He clasps His Hand in mine, encouraging me not to worry, as He has everything under control. His ways are sometimes strange to our human understanding ~~ but always perfect!
Jesus is with me all day long ~~ He is always guiding me. Sometimes I get discouraged and try to force my own way ~~ but I always end up going back to Him, my Lord!
Jesus traveled this earth: He ate and rested here, felt what we now feel, even became lonely! Jesus understands me: He understands my thoughts before I think them! Yet, He wants me to bring my hopes, fears, doubts, each sadness, and desires, to Him. He will not laugh or scream at me, but will patiently work with me in the areas which need changing while keeping my strong points in accordance with His will. HE WILL NEVER LET ME OUT OF HIS SIGHT!
Jesus is God’s Son. He is stronger than Satan! As long as I keep my eyes and heart on Him, the Waves of Fear and Doubt cannot swoosh over me! The enemy cannot overcome me in his attacks or drown me in his evil. EVEN THE DEVIL MUST SUBMIT TO JESUS!
God is my Father. Without Him, Jesus never would have been born, never would have lived on earth, never would have died for us, for me. Without His Father, Jesus never would have arose nor ascended to God’s right hand. Now, thru Faith and Repentance, Jesus sets my spirit free, and I have hope for eternal life.
